Everyday Normal Guy Rap Song

Most people have probably already seen this video, but I thought it was pretty good and saw it again and decided to post it.  Here’s the original link from Will Ferrell’s Funny or Die.

The Weekend of the Underdog

January 22, 2008

Well, this weekend was definitely of the underdog, nationally and very locally. First of all, the Giants made the Super Bowl. I can’t believe it… I predicted this team to go 6-10 before the season because of all the off-field commotion that was caused, and the loss of Tiki Barber, who was definitely a key player. As it turns out, that may have helped them, and I couldn’t be happier. As a fan, I used to take championships for granted because of the Yankees complete dominance from 1996 to about 2003, but not anymore. I haven’t seen the Giants win a Super Bowl since I was 5 years old, and I don’t want to remember the one in 2000 in which the Ravens completely destroyed the Giants. Hopefully this year’s Super Bowl will be a great game, and hopefully the Giants can beat the undefeated Patriots and win the big game. Nobody predicted the Giants to be here, to have won an extraordinary 10 straight road games, and to be the first NFC wild card team to win 3 road games and get to the Super Bowl. Nobody except for the fans expected the Giants to beat the Buccaneers, the Cowboys (who beat us twice this year), the Packers (who beat us once this year), and nobody expects us to beat the Patriots either (who also beat us once this year). But the turning point in the season was the Buffalo Bills game on Dec. 23rd, where they really came together to gut out a win. The most important part, though, was week 17, when Tom Coughlin decided to play the starters and try to beat the Patriots, showing that the Giants can compete with ANYONE in this league, and they definitely showed that in the playoffs this year. So that was absolutely amazing, and I will enjoy these two weeks of discussion about my favorite team being in the Super Bowl. Just wish I had $10,000 so I could go to Phoenix and watch the game… donations would be welcomed… hahaha.

The second underdog story came from the huge upset, where the #4 seed team that I was coaching came up huge and won the tournament. I may write about this later, but here are the pictures of this underdog win…

Ronde Barber just ate his words…

January 9, 2008

Then he choked on them, puked them up and looked at it and cried.

This week, the New York Giants proved that they can play with the best in the NFC, winning the first game of the playoffs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Now it’s the Dallas Cowboys, who took both games in the regular season. But frankly, that doesn’t mean anything now. This is a whole new season. Eli has played WELL in the last couple weeks, and I will be the first to say that he has been completely mediocre all year. I thought he sucked, and if he keeps this up, he will prove me wrong. The defense played well this week, even though they played so poor against the Patriots last week. And they didn’t make mistakes, which is what it comes down to in the playoffs. I really think they can beat Dallas this weekend, they have roughed up Romo and Owens before and I think they can do it again. Green Bay, if they beat Seattle, is more dangerous because of Favre. The guy is just insane, and proved me wrong while I thought his career was over.

My picks last week were decent, I thought the Giants, Jaguars, and Chargers would win. I thought the Redskins would have beaten the Seahawks though, at least with the Sean Taylor momentum… but they played pathetic.

My picks this week = Patriots, Chargers, Giants, Packers…

I might start posting more in this thing if I re-gain the patience.
